Kira & Christian Surprise Proposal at Government House & Craigdarroch Castle

Christian pulled off something seriously impressive here, planning this entire surprise proposal from Winnipeg, Manitoba and coordinating every detail in Victoria BC without Kira catching on.

Kira thought they were simply heading out for a couples photo session at Government House, with no idea Christian had a ring box hidden in his pocket the entire time. Knowing how much she loves cherry blossoms, Government House was the perfect location for this surprise proposal, and the soft evening light made it even better.

The session started off fun and relaxed, full of laughter, which made what happened next even sweeter. When Christian got down on one knee and Kira turned around, she was completely caught off guard. The tears started instantly, followed by the biggest excitement I have ever seen during a proposal. At one point she was literally jumping for joy. It was such a genuine and emotional moment to witness.

Afterward, we rolled right into their engagement session and headed to Craigdarroch Castle for the second half of their photos. Between the soft garden setting at Government House and the dramatic historic feel of Craigdarroch Castle, these two had the most beautiful variety for their Victoria BC engagement gallery.

Christian somehow planned the perfect surprise proposal from another province, kept it completely under wraps, and pulled it off flawlessly. It could not have gone better.
