Komal & Gurpaul Outdoor Maternity Session at Fairmont Empress Hotel

This maternity session with Komal and Gurpaul took place at the iconic Empress Hotel in Victoria, BC, a stunning location filled with historic charm and beautiful gardens. While maternity photography isn’t something I regularly offer, this session was truly special. Komal and Gurpaul have been long-time clients and have become like family over the years, so capturing this important moment in their lives felt incredibly meaningful to me.

Throughout the session, I focused on capturing their genuine connection, excitement, and the quiet anticipation of welcoming their baby. We took advantage of the soft, natural light filtering through the trees and the timeless beauty of the Empress Hotel’s architecture to create warm, candid portraits that tell their story. The peaceful surroundings and gentle atmosphere perfectly reflected the love and joy they share as they prepare to become parents.

Every session I do is about telling authentic stories, and this one was no exception. It was a true honour to document Komal and Gurpaul’s journey to parenthood in such a breathtaking setting.
